This September the University of York will launch Check-In, a new digital student engagement tool (powered by the Simac Presto product suite). Check-In will underpin a proactive support system improving student welfare and wellbeing by using data to enable early identification of students whose engagement may be impacted by a variety of factors to offer additional assistance as required. Implementation of the new engagement tool aligns with the University’s strategic aim of ‘Providing an education that empowers’. Check-In will provide valuable insights to help departments prioritise welfare and wellbeing support, offering a more personalised approach to students whilst supporting statutory compliance requirements.
